Broodmother just needs a full armor set. My idea of it would be having every individual piece offering defense in between the defense given from the Antlion armor and the Roly Poly armor (making it medium armor), and each piece offering some sort of bonus, I'm not sure what (maybe a better version of the regular Spider armor's bonuses?).The molars were a nightmare i thought i had all in the shed, but I'd missed 2 there, one white & one gold, the gold one required a crazy glide to get to, there's a few tough to find ones for sure. 2. Grounded isn't the type of game where the tier 3 armors will always be better than the tier 2s. The piece bonus, set bonus, and sleek bonus are all very good with the ladybug armor. As you can see the poll is basically 50-50, it depends on a lot of factors. Personally I beat broodmother with spider armor just fine, I hate the stamina regen delay of the heavy armors like roly.
If you're going to focus on tanking then the Roly Poly Armor is the dedicated tank armor. It doesn't have improved healing like Ladybug but it does have increased agro and improved blocking on sleek upgrades (making blocking overall easier). To get in the sandbox you can build up to it, go through the black ant hill, or go to the picnic table and there is a zipline you can build.
